WOMEN’S Cinema club

This project is co-organized with Saint-Denis Women’s Rights Mission.

WOMEN’S Cinema club screenings aim to fight against discriminations and prejudices against women, using cinematographic works as teaching tools. Those screenings are held in the movie theater l’Ecran in Saint-Denis, and followed by an encounter with the directors and/or speakers.

Aimed at a mixed public of highschoolers, women’s groups, associations and women’s rights structures, the screenings have a free entry on reservation (pcmmo.partenariats@gmail.com). Four events are planned throughout the year (in November, January, March and June). To be updated on the upcoming screenings, you can subscribe to our women’s newsletter.

From November 2015 to June 2018, the public discovered: NOJOOM by Khadija Al Salami, LES GRACIEUSES by Fatima Sissani, NUMBER ONE by Zakia Tahiri, NOS MERES NOS DARONNES by Bouchera Azzouz et Marion Stalens, IL M’A APPELÉE MALALA by Davis Guggenheim, BAKHTA ET SES FILLES by Alima Arouali, LADIES TURN by Hélène Harder, D’UNE PIERRE DEUX COUPS by Fejria Deliba, L’HORIZON NE S’ARRÊTE PAS À LA COURNEUVE by Dalila Choukri, WOWEN SENSE TOUR – In Muslim Countries / Episode 1 Maroc by Sarah Zouak and Justine Devillaine, LE VERROU by Leila Chaïbi and Hélène Poté and KINDIL EL BAHR by Damien Ounouri.
